FLOYD COUNTY, Ga. — Deputy Warden Frank Cronan of the Floyd County Prison has graduated from the Georgia Department of Corrections’ Pre-Command Leadership Training, becoming the first representative from the facility to complete the prestigious leadership program.

The Pre-Command Leadership Training serves as the capstone course in the Georgia Department of Corrections’ leadership development program and is designed to prepare future wardens for executive leadership roles within the agency.

During the training, Cronan had the opportunity to present information about the Floyd County Prison to Tyrone Oliver and other members of the department’s leadership team. The program also allowed participants to build professional relationships with correctional leaders from across the state.

Warden Mike Long praised Cronan’s achievement and his representation of the facility.

“During the course, Deputy Warden Cronan had the opportunity to showcase our facility through presentations to GDC Commissioner Tyrone Oliver and the department’s leadership team while building relationships with fellow leaders,” Long said. “We are proud of Deputy Warden Cronan for representing our facility in the 2026 course.”

Floyd County Prison officials congratulated Cronan on the accomplishment and thanked him for his continued leadership and service to the facility.
