Summer Combine Standouts: Armuchee High School

Armuchee Indian Combine Standouts

Here are the top performers from our stop in Floyd County at Armuchee High.

Abdias Datis (2027 ATH)

The rising Sophomore had an outstanding combine. He finished 2nd on the team in the laser 40 (4.77), 3rd in the 3-Cone (4.69), and took 1st in the Broad Jump at 9’1.

Impressive young athlete that will be a big contributor for the Indians during next 3 years.

William Pethel (2025 WR/FS)

Pethel ran the fastest Indian 40 on the day at 4.70 and had the fastest 3-Cone (4.62). His 3-Cone time puts him in the Top 10 of all 170 players we have tested. He placed 5th in the Broad Jump (9’2).

He is listed at 5’10 154 but looks bigger in person. Quick, agile and is a fierce competitor. Breakout Senior season on tap.

Blaine Ragland (2025 ATH)

Ragland was a constant at the top of the Indian leaderboard. He placed 3rd in the 40 and Broad Jump and 4th in the 3-Cone.

The multisport standout can play any skill position on the field effectively. He played a little QB,RB, and WR on offense last season and had a couple INTs from his DB spot on defense. Look for him this season full time under center for the Tribe.

Jakson Hightower (2025 LB/RB)

Hightower had a very impressive time in the 3-Cone (4.63), especially for a 215 pound guy, which puts him 2nd on the team and Top 10 of the 170 players tested. He finished 4th on the team in the Broad Jump and 7th in the 40.

Hightower is one of the best kept secrets in our area. At 6’1 215 he can run you down from the LB spot, tout the rock on offense and has good hands out of the backfield. He will play somewhere on Saturdays next Fall.

Other Notables:

(2027 WR/DB) Jase Stockton : Finished 2nd on the day with a 8’10 Broad Jump

(2025 WR/LB) Kaden Buffington: Put up above avg times in both the 40 and 3-cone and was 4th on the team in the Broad Jump at 8’4. Competitor that volunteered to run extra attempts at the events.

(2027 OL) Sam Hakala: The big guy was one of only 5 guys to put up a sub 5.0 3-Cone. Showed some agility for an OL guy.

(2025 RB/LB) Hayden Phillips: Hard hitting LB that was one of only 6 players to run sub 5.00 40’s on the laser. Was above average in the other two events.
