Rome Dominates Allatoona, Moves To 4-1 Overall

The Rome Wolves exploded offensively early on causing Allatoona to fall behind
quickly to the point Allatoona had no chance in the first quarter.
Rome would explode in the running game, passing game, and in the special
teams game.
Playmakers like senior wide receiver Nick Hester came in hailing in a touchdown
pass for 22 yards and BJ Jackson grabbing a pair of touchdowns for 18 and 22
yards.
The Wolves Junior running back Chance Author gashing the defense with a 48
yard burst up the middle for a touchdown and running back Javarious
McDerment would haul in a 41 toudchown reception from Reece Fountain.
Junior “Toot” Stallings added some dangerous returning skills in the special
teams for touchdowns for the Wolves.
Reece Fountain would pretty much open up the second half with a 56 yard bomb
to senior wide receiver D.K. Daniel for a touchdown.
Interceptions were made by multiple players for the Wolves including Rome
junior linebacker Jaedon Harmon and an interception return for a touchdown by
safety Joe Wilkinson.
Multiple players would make big plays in this game across the board on offense
and defense and the score would continue to rise each quarter. Plenty of young
Wolves got to play and receive some in game experience early on.
Allatoona couldn’t find any footing in the game to get drives going as the Rome
defense smothered their game plan. Defensively, Allatoona couldn’t handle the
speed and physicality of the Wolves.
Rome would finish off the Allatoona Buccaneers at the Bucs house with a 62-0
final.
This moves Rome to 1-0 in the region and 4-1 overall.
Rome will return back home to host Woodstock for another region matchup.

At 6:45pm “A Night Of Champions” will take place honoring the 1983 West Rome
state championship team and the East Rome 1977 State championship team.
Kick off will take place at 7:30pm at Historic Barron Stadium in Rome Georgia.
