Rome City Schools called board meeting on June 28

ROME, GA— Rome City Schools Board of Education held a called meeting on June 28, 2022, to discuss the hiring of a superintendent of schools to fill the vacant position.
The Board opened the meeting with a public session and moved immediately to executive session where they spoke with Dr. Samuel King, Director of Superintendent Search and Board Development for the Georgia School Board Association (GSBA). King presented the Board with the applicants and walked them through the process used to narrow the field of potential interview candidates.
After the executive session, the Board adjourned and scheduled an additional meeting for July 18, 2022, at 5:45 p.m. The meeting will be held at the Central Office in the RCS Board room. During this meeting the Board will review potential interview candidates. No GSBA representative will be present for this meeting.
